King Salmon fishing in Alaska just got even better with increased daily limits and more!
Visitors planning to visit Alaska fishing lodges like Tanaku Lodge in Elfin Cove will be able to harvest more king salmon daily with updates to the Southeast Alaska Regional King Salmon Sport Fishing Regulations. Annual limits have also been significantly increased for resident and non-residents. Sport king salmon fishing has never been better in Alaska and now in 2020 your increased daily and annual limits mean you can stay longer and enjoy sport fishing salmon even more.
Specifically, limits in king salmon harvest have been increased on a daily and annual level, with limits changing for the rest of the 2020 Alaskan summer months.
For residents of Alaska, from July 11 – August 15th, 2020, the resident bag and possession limit is four king salmon, 28 inches or greater in length and
no annual limit. NON RESIDENT bag and possession limit is two king salmon, 28 inches or greater in length and the annual limit is six king salmon, 28 inches or greater in length.
Following that, August 16 to September 30, the resident bag and possession limit is three king salmon, 28 inches or greater in length,
no annual limit, while non residents are limited daily to one king salmon 28 inches or longer and an annual limit of four king salmon, 28 inches or greater in length.
The Alaska Division of Sport Fish announced these regulations July 10, 2020 and they were put in effect after travel restrictions to Alaska reduced the non residential harvest of king salmon this year, opening up the chance for those who come to Alaska now to reap the benefits. Tanaku Lodge is uniquely situated in the Southeastern Alaska fishing region with the best lodge in the area and talented Alaska fishing guides for a memorable trip.
